Dear Old Collegian

We remind you that our last financial year was a 15 month period which ended on 31 December 2010. The AGM which was usually held in October / November, will now take place on 5 May 2011. Please note that nominations forms for the MCOBA Executive Committee are available on request from the MCOBA office. Nomination forms must be lodged with the Honorary Secretary at the MCOBA office no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting.

GOLF !

The golf at Victoria Country Club is fully subscribed. We have booked the Maritzburg Golf Course and this course is becoming full rather rapidly. Contact Charmaine in the MCOBA office for more information.

NEW !

For the first time we are introducing bowls into our Reunion line-up. Roger Miller (1961) is heading this up and he is inviting both experienced and novice bowlers to join in. The format will be informal; you can play barefoot or with any flat sole shoes. All ages welcome. ASSOCIATION DINNER AND REUNION LUNCHEON

The General Association Dinner (note this is not for class reunion OCs) will be held on Friday 10 June 2011 at the Golden Horse Casino Hotel.  The cost of the dinner is R250 and the dress is jacket and tie.

Chapel Service on Saturday 11 June at 11h00 in The Chapel, Maritzburg College.

Wreath Laying Ceremony on Saturday 11 June at 11h40 at the War Memorial.

The Reunion Luncheon will be held in the Victoria Hall, Maritzburg College on Saturday 11 June 2011 at 12h00 sharp.  The cost of the luncheon is R100 and the dress is jacket and tie.

Booking is essential and closes on 23 May 2011.  Please contact the office for a  RETURN RESERVATION FORM .  Seating is limited and tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis so please book immediately to avoid disappointment.

The Veterans’ Reunion Luncheon (all Old Collegians from 1930 and up to and including 1953) and their partners, are welcome to join us for a day of reminisce, good fellowship and fine dining.
